Patient Care Coordinator

TekSystems is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator for a local healthcare office in Clinton Township!

• This person will be required to answer calls quickly and assist customers with their needs.
• These customers will be calling about insurance questions, what products they are eligible for, what costs will look like, etc.
• Someone with Medical / Insurance customer service experience would be a perfect fit.

Other

• Hours are 8am - 4:30pm, but need to willing to do 8:30 to 5pm just in case if the staff has an adjustment.

Must Haves:

- Smiley, Friendly, bubbly, extrovert.

- Dealing with stressful situations

- Ability to provide customer service to patients and make them feel welcomed.

- Ability to manage difficult conversations with people that are generally unhappy.

- Positive attitude and pleasant.

- Ability to learn the software system so basic computer skills are in order.

- Healthcare is not required but they will learn quickly.

- Reliable and solid attendance.

- Poised to handle a tough patient population

Nice to Haves:

- Familiar with HAP, Blue Cross and Medicare Advantage is VERY helpful

- Medical or Insurance customer service experience. Big Plus!!!

- Insurance verification

- Face to Face customer service experience is a BIG plus because that can be harder to handle compared to over the phone.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
