Inbound & Outbound Logistics Operations Specialist

What your 3–11 PM shift looks like

Step onto the floor at 23400 Haggerty Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335 and kick off a smooth second shift. You’ll confirm your pick list, stage the dock, and ready powered industrial equipment to keep product moving safely and accurately. Throughout the evening you’ll move between receiving, putaway, material delivery, and shipping—closing the loop on every order with precise documentation.

Day-in-the-life

1. Start-up: Review work instructions, prioritize inbound and outbound schedules, and inspect your area to 5S standards.
2. Receiving: Unload arriving trucks, inspect goods for damage, verify counts, and report discrepancies.
3. Putaway & stocking: Weigh, label, and store inventory; maintain organization and accuracy.
4. Material flow: Deliver raw materials to work centers as required to keep production running.
5. Shipping: Pick, pack, and load customer orders; ensure correct packaging, labeling, and carrier readiness.
6. Systems & tracking: Use JDE, RFS, and RF technology to manage inventory movements and complete transactions.
7. Safety & quality: Operate powered industrial trucks and warehouse machinery safely; follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
8. Close-out: Complete documentation, assist with cycle counts, and return your area to a clean, orderly state.

What you’ll handle

• Processing and loading orders to complete shipments
• Scheduling, moving, weighing, stocking, receiving, and packing inbound/outbound products
• Operating powered industrial equipment and warehouse machinery
• Loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely
• Maintaining inventory accuracy; assisting with counts
• Ensuring correct labeling, packaging, and documentation
• Inspecting products for damage and communicating issues
• Supporting cleanliness and organization aligned to 5S
• Other tasks as assigned

Skills you bring

• Read/interpret work instructions; follow written and verbal direction
• Clear basic communication (verbal and written)
• Comfort with basic math and clerical tasks
• Physical ability to lift/move heavy items; sustained stamina
• Strong attention to detail and organization

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma; 0–2 years of experience
• Preferred: Powered industrial equipment certification
