We are looking for a dependable and ambitious Office Assistant to join our team in Okemos, Michigan. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to provide essential administrative support while contributing to the smooth daily operations of a legal office. If you thrive in a collaborative office setting and enjoy taking on a variety of tasks, we encourage you to apply. This is a Part-Time position, on-site, M-F 8:30AM - 12:30PM
Responsibilities:
• Answer and route incoming calls in a courteous and detail oriented manner.
• Manage general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and printing letterheads or envelopes.
• Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including light facilities tasks like emptying trash bins.
• Assist with basic records management and ensure accurate filing and documentation.
• Show initiative by completing additional duties as assigned and seeking ways to assist the team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Troubleshoot minor administrative challenges, such as resolving printer or copier issues.
• Previous experience in an office environment, with hands-on knowledge of office equipment like printers and copiers.• Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and efficiently handle routine administrative challenges.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
• A dependable, friendly, and team-oriented attitude, willing to assist wherever needed.
• No prior legal experience is required, as this role does not involve legal secretary or paralegal duties.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive demeanor.
