Role: Med Tech Location: The Bradford - Senior Living, 2080 S Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302. Full Time and Part Time, 12‑hour shifts. Day and Night positions available. Purpose Assist in the care of the residents through the performance of direct and indirect activities of daily living, following the resident’s care plan, and distribute and administer medications as appropriate. Essential Functions / Job Duties Prepare and administer each resident’s medication per service plan and licensed healthcare professional orders. Provide prescribed treatments to residents. Document all medication passes and treatments provided. Communicate with Pharmacy regarding medication changes, refills, missing medications, etc. Communicate with outside agencies as needed during their visits. Provide support in all areas of daily living, including lifting, transferring, and moving wheelchairs. Support individuals in attaining the best quality of life possible. Advocate for residents’ needs and wants when assistance is requested. Interact and communicate respectfully with all individuals. Create a safe environment and conduct activities ensuring health and safety. Use effective communication tailored to each individual. Communicate positively with co‑workers, families, and the public. Model a positive role for individuals and co‑workers. Support co‑workers and participate actively in team processes. Provide complete, accurate, timely documentation. Perform day‑to‑day home operations (cooking, cleaning, laundry). Follow Cardinal policies and procedures and applicable state regulations, including R 325.1932 for HFA licensed buildings. Report incidents and accidents per Cardinal policies. Notify licensed healthcare professionals of medication issues or errors. Perform narcotic counts as per policy. Maintain the home in a safe manner; notify supervisor of any safety or maintenance issues. Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Director, Director of Wellness, or House Manager. Education & Knowledge Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (highly preferred). Minimum age 18. CNA or MA preferred. Essential Job‑Related Experience / Abilities Physical ability to move residents by wheelchair. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Capability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally (1–33% of workday). Ability to maintain accurate documentation of resident status. Preferred Experience / Education Two years’ experience providing basic personal care in a long‑term care or healthcare facility. Valid driver’s license.
