Description: We are seeking an entry-level Desktop Specialist to assist with equipment cleanup and organization across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities/skills:- Visit telecommunication rooms across facilities to find unused or outdated network and UPS equipment
- Wipe data and system software from the equipment
- Complete required property disposal paperwork
- Coordinate with moving services to schedule pickup and transport of equipment
- Identify and flag any unapproved items in telecom rooms for removal
- Assist with general, non-technical tasks related to telecom room organization and cleanup
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and comfort working around network equipment and cables.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures, especially for data wiping and documentation.
- Reliable, able to work independently in the field, and walk/stand for extended periods while visiting multiple rooms.
- Good communication and customer service skills to coordinate with facilities and moving staff.
