**Job Summary:**
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role within the manufacturing departments by performing essential job functions that ensure a continuous flow of product. This position comes with premium medical benefits, PTO and converting to full-time after 6-9 months.
**Location:** Traverse City, MI
**Shift:** 3 rd Shift - (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) - Must train 6 weeks on 1 st shift
**Pay:** $20 per hour
**Key Job Responsibilities:**
+ Set up and operate various types of machines (conventional or CNC) regularly, working on a range of complex parts to precise tolerances with average to complicated setups.
+ Work independently with minimal supervision while selecting appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling.
+ Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for equipment breakdowns and production efficiency issues.
+ Ensure that appropriate materials and tools are readily available for operations.
+ Support Lean Enterprise, Quality, Safety, and Productivity initiatives through active participation.
+ Operate multiple machines simultaneously to optimize labor costs.
**Education and Work Experience:**
+ High school diploma or GED required; additional technical school training preferred.
+ Excellent blueprint reading skills.
+ 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Versatile machining experience and a strong mechanical background are advantageous.
+ Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, along with the ability to work effectively in a team.
+ Experience with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
