Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather all necessary data for comprehensive estimates.
• Utilize ERP systems and estimating software to develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Source and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and outsourced services.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks within the manufacturing process.
• Present clear and concise cost estimates and proposals to management and clients.
• Maintain and update a database of cost information, supplier pricing, and historical data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in cost estimating within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex cost analysis and modeling.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead allocation.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems and specialized estimating software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with specific ERP costing modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
• Familiarity with CAD software for material take-offs and design interpretation.
