Job Description
This role focuses on building high-quality electronic products by assembling electronic systems, operating manufacturing equipment, and performing precise manual operations. You will prepare and set up workstations, pull and organize parts, and carry out detailed testing and documentation to ensure reliable electronic assemblies. The position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble electronic products and systems according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Run and monitor manufacturing equipment to support electronic and mechanical assembly processes.
- Perform manual operations, including component placement, soldering, and other hands-on assembly tasks as required.
- Pull parts, prepare materials, and set up workstations to ensure efficient workflow and timely production.
- Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct testing of electronic assemblies and record results clearly and accurately.
- Inspect assembled components and finished products to verify quality and reliability.
- Follow established procedures for electronic manufacturing, including grounding and handling sensitive components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a manufacturing environment.
- Work effectively as part of a small production team, supporting continuous improvement and quality standards.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
- At least 1 year of computer experience, including basic data entry and documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 10–50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read and follow schematics and blueprints for electronic and mechanical assembly.
- Basic understanding of electronic assembly processes and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on new equipment, processes, and techniques.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
