Licensed Professional Engineer (MEP) Mechanical & Electrical
Job Description: Millies Engineering Group is seeking two highly experienced and motivated Licensed Professional Engineers (MEP) to join our growing team. These critical roles will be based in Munster, Indiana, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, respectively. The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the built environment, with a strong preference for experience in K-12/secondary education and healthcare projects. As a Licensed Professional Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert engineering design, analysis, and project management for a variety of projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and oversee the installation of MEP systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Perform calculations, create reports, and conduct detailed analysis related to MEP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within the built environment.
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of MEP systems for K-12/secondary education and/or healthcare facilities is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.).
- Roots or extensive experience in the Midwest region.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
