Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Portage, MI, serving a K-12 school setting. This full-time, on-site contract role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to support student communication development throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, diagnosis, and therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary approaches supporting student success
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment
