CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Details
- Location: Clinton Township, MI 48038 (Detroit metro area)
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
- Start Date: September 22, 2025
- End Date: January 3, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 15 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shifts: 2 eight-hour shifts and 2 twelve-hour shifts weekly
- Shift Times: 6:50 am – 3:20 pm (8-hour) | 6:50 am – 7:20 pm (12-hour)
- On-Call: Rotated one week per month (overnight weekdays 7:00 pm – 5:50 am; 24-hour weekend coverage)
- Pay Range: $29 – $37 per hour
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2070 – $2130
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Tech
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and cardiovascular procedures
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend shifts
- Adaptability to hospital protocols and willingness to learn
- Prepare and care for pre-operative cardiovascular patients in a hospital setting
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during CVOR procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper surgical instrumentation
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot surgical equipment for cardiovascular cases
- Participate in scheduled on-call coverage for the CVOR team
- Foster a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment
