We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our 340B auditing software and tools, with the opportunity to manage additional products in the future.

Job Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and success of SpendMend’s 340B auditing software and tools. This role will drive the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. The Product Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver a best-in-class solution that supports healthcare organizations in maintaining 340B program compliance. In the future, this role will likely expand to manage one or two additional products within SpendMend’s portfolio.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the 340B auditing software and tools, ensuring alignment with market needs and SpendMend’s business goals.
  • Market Research & Customer Insights: Conduct market analysis, gather customer feedback, and monitor regulatory changes in the 340B program to inform product enhancements and ensure compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, and QA teams to prioritize features, manage development sprints, and deliver high-quality product releases. Work with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and support customer adoption.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and feature prioritization to launch, adoption, and post-launch optimization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for the product the role will be responsible for communicating progress, roadmaps, and updates to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Performance Metrics & Optimization: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, customer satisfaction, and business impact. Use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Future Product Ownership: Prepare to take on additional product management responsibilities for one or two other products within SpendMend’s portfolio as the role evolves.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about 340B program regulations and ensure the software meets all compliance standards, including HRSA guidelines and audit requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, technology, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare technology or software-as-a-service (SaaS) products.
    • Knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program and auditing processes is highly desirable.
    • Experience managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
    • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer success.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, particularly 340B program requirements.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar).
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Nice-to-Have:
    • Experience with additional healthcare software products or cost-cycle solutions.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    • Background in pharmacy operations or healthcare finance.
