Position: Centre Cafe Worker

Classification: Hourly – Part-Time

Reports To: Café Manager

About Us:

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.

Position Summary:

Caring for the customer in a God honoring way is our number one goal. The Centre Café is open to the public and is the hub of activity at the Centre for people of all ages. This requires you to be attentive to the customers’ needs and direct them toward items that will satisfy those needs. It also requires you to deal with each age group in an appropriate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and fill all food orders placed at the Café.

• Use the register knowledgeably to successfully handle all transactions.

• Fill and put away restock lists.

• Fill and empty the ice bucket.

• Run Café dishes through the dish machine.

• Follow all opening and/or closing procedures when necessary.

• Clean all Café tables, counters, machinery, floors, and any other necessary equipment.

• Provide excellent, efficient, consistent customer service.

• Display a Christ-honoring attitude at all times.

• Maintain a current Food Handler’s Card and display attention to fulfilling all Health Department guidelines.

Qualifications:

· Christian Faith:

· Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

· Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

· Educational Background/Experience:

· A relational person who enjoys people and desires to influence others for God’s glory.

· A hospitable servant who enjoys caring for others.

· A team player who recognizes and values the local church.

· A responsible person able to deal with conflict in a healthy and God honoring way.

· Must be a punctual dependable person

· Detail oriented.

· Flexible - Able to work varying shifts.

· Obtain/Maintain a current Food Handlers Card

· High energy, organized, efficient and friendly personality.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.
