Weare looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll support our finance department by ensuring accurate record-keeping, helping with account reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
• Perform data entry of invoices, receipts, and payments
• Support bank and account reconciliations
• Help prepare financial reports and spreadsheets
• Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing
• Support other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience or education in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Excel)
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
• Strong communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll and/or tax preparation
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable processing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Familiarity with invoicing and billing software
• Prior experience working in a small business or startup environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
