The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.

The Housing Liaison will play a key role in supporting access to attainable housing services and resources. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Arabic.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating leasing with the Management Company.
  • Seek and identify potential tenants and coordinate with the Management Company to ensure all units are leased.
  • Provide information for prospective tenants.
  • Assist prospective tenants in decision to select a living unit.
  • Coordinate with the Management Company to obtain supporting documents for new applicants.
  • Record and file all communications between the facility and applicant pertaining to sales process or occupancy.
  • Reach out to contacts with leads to progress from initial inquiry to rental.
  • Ensure maximum occupancy levels and minimal vacancies.
  • Serve as the point of contact for communication between the CCF and the Management Company to coordinate support services and provide casework for tenants.
  • Facilitate intake for potential applicants and guide them through the application process.
  • Provide ongoing support to program applicants, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and connecting them with resources, as needed.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Working knowledge of social service agencies and community services.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services related field; or three to five years of experience in human services or related field.
  • Fluency in Arabic required.
  • Fluency in Chaldean is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing and walking around the office.
  • Regular bending and reaching may be required.
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Travel required within the communities served.
