Maintenance Technician

•Comply with safety regulations and procedures. •Participate in continuous improvement activities. •Perform preventive maintenance on all machines. •Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns. •Complete general maintenance tasks. •Perform light building maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, inspecting HVAC •Minimum 3+ years in machining &/or manufacturing maintenance environment. •Experience with electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, metal fabrication, welding, and industrial equipment required. •Exceptional troubleshooting and corrective maintenance experience. •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance applications. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills. •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. •Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally. •Documented equivalent work experience, High School diploma required.

Maintenance Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )

• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
• They focus on equipment uptime, preventive and reactive maintenance, identifying abnormal conditions
• participating in continuous improvement activities.
• The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining workplace organization.
• As part of the overall Production Team, she/he is expected to work cross-functionally with his/her production peers to develop and drive lean operational initiatives that are designed to address strategic and tactical equipment objectives at Midwest Tool & Cutlery.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Mig weld
• Lift 70 lbs.
• Strong communication skills
• Minimum of 3 yrs experience
• Experience with electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, metal fabrication, welding, and industrial equipment required.
