Long Haul Cannabis Driver Job for CSH Wyoming LLC

We are seeking a reliable and professional Long Haul Cannabis Driver to transport legal adult use cannabis products safely and securely across New York State. The driver will ensure compliance with all state, and local regulations governing the transportation of cannabis, maintain accurate delivery records, and uphold the highest standards of safety and security. This role requires extended periods on the road, excellent time management, being a steward of the brand, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation : Operate commercial vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks) to transport cannabis products over long distances, ensuring timely and secure deliveries to dispensaries or other licensed facilities.
• Regulatory Compliance : Adhere strictly to all state and local cannabis transportation regulations, including licensing, permits, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Vehicle Maintenance : Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues, and ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
• Inventory Management : Verify product quantities and documentation before and after each delivery, ensuring no discrepancies in inventory or packaging.
• Security Protocols : Follow strict security measures to prevent theft, loss, or unauthorized access to cannabis products during transport.
• Route Planning : Follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while accounting for traffic, weather, and other variables.
• Customer Interaction : Communicate professionally with customers and receiving facilities, addressing any delivery-related inquiries or concerns.
• Record Keeping : Effectively utilize CSH Wyoming's distribution software.
• Safety Standards : Operate vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including defensive driving practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Cannabis Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with cannabis transportation regulations and state-specific compliance requirements (preferred but not mandatory; training provided).
• Experience : Minimum of 2 years of long-haul driving experience, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, hazardous materials, or perishable goods).
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load/unload cargo, and sit for extended periods during long drives.
• Attention to Detail : Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, documentation, and delivery schedules accurately.
• Communication Skills : Clear verbal and written communication for coordinating with dispatchers, customers and regulatory authorities.
• Technology Proficiency : Comfortable using GPS, route planning software, and electronic logging devices (ELDs).

Additional Requirements

• Age : Must be at least 20 years old, per cannabis industry regulations.
• Work Schedule : Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with the possibility of extended time away from home.
• Drug-Free Commitment : Must comply with a drug-free, alcohol and firearm free workplace policy per state cannabis regulations.
• Training : Completion of company-provided training on cannabis handling, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.
