Technology that supports the buildings and industry of today and tomorrow requires a wide range of talents and skill sets.  **About This Role** As an **Associate Field Engineer** , you will be crucial to ALC's business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and is customer focused. This position is your first introduction into the career of a Field Engineer. You will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills, projects will advance in difficultly to develop your skills. The ideal candidate will be a 2024 or 2025 graduate of a Technical Trade school, or High School with a focus in HVAC, Controls, or related field. As a new Associate Field Engineer, you will be a part of our Fast-Track Field Technician Program. This includes a 2 week paid trip to Atlanta, Georgia where we will teach you everything you need to perform your new role with excellence. There will also be a number of fun team building activities during the connecting weekend to participate in. The start date of this program will be January 27, 2026. **Key Responsibilities** + Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology. + Offer effective solutions for system issues. + Provide turnkey project delivery on small to mid-level projects. + Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software. + Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports. + Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction. + Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer. + Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system. **Basic Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED. + Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs. + Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance. + Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. **Preferred Qualifications** + Associate Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field. + Interest in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field. + Interest in building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. + Working Knowledge with Microsoft 365 applications.
