Director
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Manage the department budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, including monthly purchase logs and weekly reports.
- Environmental Services & Sanitation:
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning and laundry services in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces.
- Develop and implement cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Proven experience in housekeeping and/or laundry management, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including infection control practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
