Medical Director University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center
University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated, full-time Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to join the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center located in Lansing, Michigan. The ideal candidate should possess Board certification in Medical Oncology, at least five years of post-fellowship clinical experience, and five years of leadership experience in oncology operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership and oversight to oncology teams.
- Ensure programs align with hospital and health system quality, growth, and financial objectives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Monday-Friday schedule
- Call 1:7 including weekend and after-hours
- Dedicates at least 60% of their time to patient care in Medical Oncology

- Dedicated in-facility retail spaces specializing in breast- and hair-prosthesis for cancer patients
- Cancer Resource Center which is available to patients, friends, and family
Position is hospital employed and offers:
