Dental Assistant – Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team . The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chairside Assistance:

Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions.

• Patient Preparation and Care:

Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort, and provide post-operative instructions.

• Sterilization and Infection Control:

Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas following proper infection control protocols.

• Radiography:

Take and develop dental x-rays (digital or film), as permitted by state certification/licensure.

• Charting and Documentation:

Accurately record patient information, treatment notes, and dental history in the electronic dental records system.

• Inventory and Supplies:

Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment, and notify appropriate staff when inventory is low.

• Patient Education:

Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and pre/post-treatment care information.

• Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment:

Ensure all operatory and clinical spaces are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
