CVOR RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2550 - $2610 per week
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Registered Nurse)
• Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 2 call shifts per week (overnight) plus every other weekend
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend call (24/7)
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Scrub Color: Provided

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room RN experience required
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact state, or willing to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room for open heart, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend coverage
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety protocols
• Provide care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Support and mentor surgical team members as needed
