Job Description:

The State of Michigan – DTMB/eMichigan is seeking a Programmer Analyst 5 with strong experience in building and maintaining modern web applications. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated developer with excellent technical and communication skills, capable of working closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

Specialty Areas:

  • Web Service Development: Experience building and consuming C# MVC web services.

  • Frontend Development: Proficient in Angular for developing interactive and responsive web interfaces.

  • .NET Core Expertise: Capable of leveraging .NET Core for backend logic and performance optimization.

  • Version Control Strategies: Solid understanding of branching and merging strategies in modern source control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define functional and technical requirements.

  • Develop and maintain application logic in both .NET service tier and Angular frontend.

  • Create data access logic using Entity Framework and MS SQL Server.

  • Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

  • Support and enhance custom applications and tools within the DTMB/eMichigan environment.

  • Ensure applications are secure, efficient, and meet accessibility standards.

  • Follow SDLC best practices and maintain high-quality documentation.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing C# MVC web services.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience building Angular-based web applications.

  • Proficiency in .NET Core and version control strategies.

  • Candidate must be local to Michigan and available for onsite work on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Michigan state agencies or other government entities.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle.

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
