Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for manufacturing operations.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contracts for raw materials and components.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, reliability, and continuous improvement in material supply.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels, preventing stockouts or overstock.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical purchasing practices.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including material shortages, price volatility, and quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, lean principles, and quality control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Experience with international sourcing, logistics, and customs regulations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Fluency in a second language relevant to key international suppliers.
