Job Title: Chief Electrical Engineer - Military Vehicle Design
Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI - hybrid on-site 3 days/week - relocation offered!
Compensation: $140K - $180K base Depending on experience plus bonus!
Requirements: Electrical Component Design, Automotive or Defense Industry, Leadership, Siemens NX
We are seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and development for military vehicles. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in electrical systems, ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of performance and reliability in demanding environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and architecture for military vehicle projects
- Oversee the development and integration of electrical components and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and performance
- Conduct system-level testing and validation of electrical systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with military standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain documentation for electrical designs and systems integration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design for military vehicles
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Experience with systems integration and design validation
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as UGNX and Siemens NX
- Familiarity with SAE J1939 and CAN networks
- Previous experience in developing vehicle harness designs
- Knowledge of Lidar, Sensors, GPS Systems, and Autonomous Vehicle technology is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must be able to qualify or possess a U.S. Government Clearance
