Lead Cook
Does cooking for others bring a smile to your face? Are you a young professional looking for a fun, fast-paced workplace? Become a camp cook for the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp and spend your summer in the great outdoors!
Responsibilities:
- plan nutritionally balanced meals (in accordance with state regulations and food licensing)
- prepare each meal for 80 campers and staff
- work with the Camp Health Director to respond to the special dietary needs of participants
- stock kitchen with all food and equipment throughout the season
- provide weekly menus
- clean and prepare food service areas for use and inspection

Special Benefits
$200 start of season bonus and $800 end of season bonus
Requirements
- 18 or older
- experience as a cook or assistant cook for large groups (preferred)

The Michigan Out-of-Doors youth camp is a six week program hosted out of the Cedar Lake Outdoor Center in Chelsea, Michigan. Our goal is to connect our youth with their natural resources through environmental/ conservation sciences, outdoor recreation and sportsman's/women's heritage.
