Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker follows work instructions to operate all machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps for our customers. The role involves learning how to gauge products, moving materials and parts within the cell work area, and replenishing stock. The position requires maintaining production, quality, and equipment documentation, understanding quality alerts, and reporting issues to the team lead. Additionally, the worker will repair defective or rejected production parts daily and analyze defects to assist with corrective action programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and testing equipment to assemble quality pumps.
• Learn and apply product gauging techniques.
• Move materials and replenish stock within the cell work area.
• Maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation.
• Understand and act on quality alerts, reporting issues to the team lead.
• Repair defective or rejected production parts daily.
• Analyze defects and contribute to corrective action programs.

Essential Skills

• Manufacturing with at least 2 years of recent experience in a production worker, operator, or assembler position.
• Assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs for handling and stacking pumps.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Gauge experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Join a newly renovated plant in Warren, transitioning from Oklahoma, serving major automotive clients including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. As a global automotive supplier of pumps, valvetrain, transmission, and electric drive components and systems, the facility is equipped with various machines, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and hand tools. The plant operates on multiple shift schedules, including an 8-hour shift (1st shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, 2nd shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, 3rd shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM) and a 10-hour shift (1st shift: 5:00AM - 3:30PM, 2nd shift: 3:00PM - 1:30AM).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
