Office Clerk

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities — Ham Manufacturing & Meat Processing Facility:

• Utilize strong computer and data-entry skills to support daily food manufacturing operations , with preference for candidates experienced in ERP systems, inventory management , and production tracking software .
• Perform shipping and receiving duties in a meat processing environment , ensuring proper handling of smoked ham, raw pork products , and other temperature-controlled items in accordance with USDA, HACCP, and food safety regulations .
• Accurately process customer orders , verifying product codes, lot numbers, packaging requirements, and shipment specifications to maintain high levels of order accuracy and on-time delivery .
• Monitor, review, and process daily invoices , coordinating with accounting and logistics teams to ensure proper documentation for refrigerated shipments and cold-chain compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dock workers, production teams, and logistics partners to coordinate refrigerated truck loading , verify product counts, and prepare outgoing freight for distribution and retail customers .
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism, supporting customers, vendors, and internal manufacturing teams with order updates, scheduling needs, and shipment inquiries.
• Successfully multitask in a fast-paced food production environment , prioritizing accuracy, food safety, and workflow efficiency.
• Handle all cashier and payment transactions , including cash, checks, and credit card payments, while following company policies and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support daily administrative tasks , product documentation, batch tracking, and inventory reconciliation related to meat processing and smoked ham production .
• Collaborate closely with quality assurance, packaging, and production teams to ensure all shipments meet USDA standards , customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.
