Inventory Control Manager | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demands, and recommend adjustments to purchasing and production.
• Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee the effective utilization of inventory management systems (e.g., ERP/MRP) to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing teams to ensure smooth material flow and availability.
• Identify and manage obsolete, slow-moving, and surplus inventory to minimize holding costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced inventory management software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control principles (e.g., JIT, FIFO, ABC analysis) and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive process improvements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Proven experience leading or participating in ERP/WMS implementation or optimization projects
• Familiarity with automated warehousing technologies (e.g., AS/RS, AGVs)
