Nesco Resource is seeking qualified candidates for a POST-TENSIONING SUPERINTENDENT role for a major construction infrastructure client in Detroit, MI. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!

Salary: $130k+ (experience based on relevant experience) (This is NOT a design position)

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Power Engineering or Power Engineering Certificate, required
• 10-15 years within a relative role (i.e., heavy, senior civil engineering, heavy highway, bridges, railways and/or tunnels)
• Background in engineering drawings, various construction disciplines, federal/national statutes and guidelines. Commissioning large-scale structures, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects leadership.
• Experience with post-tensioning and cabling required

Key Tasks / Job Description:

• Planning/coordination of crafts and construction activities across Points of Entry (Ports)
• Material overview for cost-effective measures and efficiency
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents
• Reviewing compliance of design/quality requirements
• Coordinate field engineering, information handling, and construction activities
• Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action
• Oversee all activities of construction scope, field change management and field project controls
• Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed
• Adhere to and support the company's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Complete safety audits and advance reporting as required
• Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all areas of POE construction
• Manage construction equipment as required, including planning, monitoring, and controlling such as needed to ensure safe and efficient construction execution
• Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities
