Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience required. License: Michigan RN License (pending license acceptable, must provide ETA). Certifications: BLS (AHA) (pending certification acceptable, must confirm willingness to obtain). Must-Have: - Must be available for the first two weeks of the assignment. - Must float to other medical-surgical units as needed. - Must work every other weekend. - Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (e.g., RN, LPN, Techs). Description: This is a medical-surgical oncology unit caring for a wide variety of patient types. Patients include those with general medical diagnoses as well as specialized gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries. Staffing ratio is typically 1:5-6 for nights, with a possibility of flexing to 1:8, where RNs will be paired with an LPN for support. There is a good mix of medical patients and surgical cases on this unit. The unit treats various surgical patients including those undergoing gastrointestinal procedures, urological surgeries, hysterectomies, and mastectomies. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Floating to different medical-surgical units is expected based on unit needs. About Cynet Health
