Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Unit
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a fast-paced 28-bed Med Surg unit caring for a diverse patient population including general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients.
This unit emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based, and holistic care within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment focused on positive patient outcomes and professional nursing growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
• Provide patient-centered care utilizing evidence-based nursing practice
• Demonstrate leadership, clinical expertise, and effective communication
• Utilize strong time management and teamwork skills to support unit performance
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 years of recent straight Medical Surgical RN experience required
• Float pool, SDU, and Telemetry-only experience will not qualify
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Active Michigan RN License required at time of submission
• BLS (AHA) certification required
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
• Michigan license verification required
• If license history contains disciplinary action, provider explanation is recommended for manager review
