Sanitation Associate

Hart, MI, 1st Shift, $18.50 per hour

Job Summary

Workbox Staffing is hiring a Sanitation Associate in Hart, MI! If you take pride in keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe, this is a great opportunity to join a team that plays an essential role in maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse, office, and common areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Clean walls, tables, guard rails, pipes, windows, and other facility surfaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and other shared spaces.
• Empty trash containers and waste hoppers throughout the facility.
• Clean drains and other areas to help maintain sanitary conditions.
• Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Use a forklift to move cleaning supplies, products, and waste containers as needed.
• Assist with exterior grounds maintenance, including snow removal, salting walkways, and debris removal.
• Perform minor routine maintenance tasks as directed.
• Report any equipment or facility repair needs to management.
• Complete required documentation for sanitation and maintenance activities.
• Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working throughout the facility.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
