Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Manistee that are seeking Materials Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material procurement strategies to ensure supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to optimize production flow and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance for quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Utilize and optimize ERP/MRP systems for accurate material planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering to align material availability with production schedules and new product introductions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the materials planning, purchasing, and warehousing teams.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in material handling, logistics, and supply chain processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced inventory management techniques.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated experience in demand forecasting, S&OP, and supplier relationship management.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics.
• Proficiency in advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems.
