General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Community Health and Public Health Preparedness Director, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the nutrition and education component of Health Department programs. Teaches group education sessions related to nutrition and makes nutrition related presentations to interested groups in the county. Provides nutrition counseling to community residents, prepares nutrition care plans, and serves as a nutrition resource person for departmental staff.
Employment Qualifications:
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics.
Experience: Two years of professional experience as a Dietitian, preferably in a hospital or public health setting.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Possession of current registration to work as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
