Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new product designs and engineering solutions from concept to production.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of components and assemblies.
• Conduct design analysis, including stress, thermal, and tolerance studies, to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
• Specify and select appropriate materials and components based on functional requirements, cost, and availability.
• Manage design documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure designs meet performance and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and material properties.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for technical drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced FEA/CFD simulation software.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python) for design automation or data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or shop floor operations.
