Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for potential and existing clients.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to understand project requirements and optimize costing.
• Source and obtain competitive pricing for raw materials, components, and outsourced services from suppliers.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data and pricing structures.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to project costs and timelines.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and associated labor costs.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills for complex cost calculations.
• Experience with estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific ERP costing modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Value Engineering methodologies.
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and raw material market trends.
