We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Welders. Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) on diverse materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
• Prepare materials by grinding, cutting, and fitting components prior to welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality standards within the manufacturing environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• AWS certification (e.g., D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6) or equivalent.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety procedures and quality control standards.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination, and physical stamina.

Bonus Qualifications

• Additional AWS certifications (e.g., D1.1, D1.6) in various positions or materials
• Experience with advanced blueprint reading and interpreting complex fabrication drawings
• Proficiency in other metal fabrication techniques such as grinding, cutting, and fitting
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification/experience
• Basic understanding of welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
