Mobile Forklift & Warehouse Systems Service Technician

Do you enjoy hands-on diagnostics and getting equipment back online fast? Are you comfortable moving between forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems—and just as comfortable talking customers through what’s happening and why? Would spending about half your time traveling across the Midwest (with occasional overnights) keep work interesting? If so, read on.
Impact you’ll make
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment at customer sites.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Install or support installation of new equipment and components.
- Log findings and work performed with accurate service reports.
- Set expectations and provide updates to customers on scope, timelines, and technical issues.
- Work safely and follow all company policies while on-site.
- Partner with in-house technical support and parts to resolve issues efficiently.
What you’ll need to succeed
- High school diploma or GED; technical schooling is a plus.
- 2+ years with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems; background in material handling is advantageous.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong communicator with solid customer service instincts.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouses, distribution centers, and similar settings.
Travel & environment
Expect approximately 50% travel throughout the Midwest. Some trips will require overnight stays.
