We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Grader Operator to work with our asphalt construction crew located in Farmington Hills, MI.

Key Qualities
• The successful candidate must have proven mechanical abilities.
• Ability to work seasonally and flexibility to work weekends and evening in-season.
• Must partner and coordinate with other crew members to ensure daily schedules and estimates are met.

Responsibilities and expectations
• Must follow all safety policies, procedures and rules
• Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Operate Grader on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
• Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous asphalt construction experience is preferred
• CDL - Class A
• Must be able to work seasonally and have flexibility to work weekends and evenings during the season.
• Road construction industry experience a plus
• Ability to lift at least 46 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to work at heights

Personal Protective Equipment
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OHSA and/or MSHA and company policy. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position; Hearing Protection, Reflective Vest, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Hard Hat and Eye Protection.
