Senior Automation Engineer/Estimator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer/Estimator to lead the development of detailed cost estimates and technical scopes for large-scale automation projects across industrial, manufacturing, and mission-critical environments. This role offers autonomy, strategic influence, and the opportunity to work on high-value programs ranging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle estimating for Robotics, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and OT systems across diverse industrial sectors.
• Interpret P&IDs, control narratives, and system schematics to develop accurate scopes and cost models.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and business development teams to align estimates with technical and commercial goals.
• Analyze vendor proposals and manage relationships with OEMs and system integrators.
• Leverage digital tools such as Procore, Power BI, and AI-enhanced platforms to modernize and streamline estimating workflows.
• Mentor junior estimators and engineers, contributing to the growth of internal automation expertise.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in automation engineering and estimating, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Ignition, AVEVA, FANUC
• Familiarity with relevant standards including NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, and ISA best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
