Social Media Specialist Grand Rapids MI
- Maintain and manage a blog and social media content calendar in collaboration with Product Marketing Specialists, Digital Strategists, and Corporate Communications & Events teams.
- Help plan and execute campaign-based social media initiatives tied to product launches, company announcements, events, and thought leadership content across Applied Innovation’s social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others as appropriate).
- Identify opportunities to highlight Applied Innovation’s culture, people, partnerships, and customer success stories across social channels.
- Ensure social media efforts align with broader marketing campaigns and brand messaging.
- Develop short-form video content, graphics, and visual storytelling elements to increase engagement and reach.
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Express, Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms to create and edit social media graphics and video assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to source ideas, capture content, and turn company activity into compelling social posts.
- Track social media performance metrics on a monthly basis, generating reports to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
- Stay informed on evolving social media trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve Applied Innovation’s digital presence.
- Monitor comments, messages, and engagement to help foster positive interactions with our audience.
- Assist with tactical website & digital management (website updates, publishing blogs, etc.)
- Aid with the tactical rollout of email marketing campaigns
- Other duties as assigned

- Demonstrated experience managing or contributing to brand social media channels.
- Proficiency creating social media graphics using Adobe Express, Canva, or similar design tools.
- Experience editing short-form video content using CapCut or equivalent platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain a professional brand voice on social media.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record (no DUI’s in the past 5 years).
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or digital content creation preferred.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and scheduling platforms such as Hubspot.
- Experience working with culture-driven social media content
