Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ year of ICU experience (floating is not considered) License: Michigan RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: EKG experience Willingness to float to similar units Skills checklist completed within one year of application Description: The Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the team that cares for patients with cardiovascular conditions. This unit handles a wide variety of procedures, including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The RN may care for patients who have undergone open-heart surgery and require close monitoring. Specialized care is provided for patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies. The department is involved in various national clinical trials aimed at improving cardiac care. The team strives for optimal outcomes and exceptional patient care. A strict attendance policy is enforced, and attendance issues may result in termination. Candidates with a history of communicable diseases or hospitalization will be reviewed favorably with supporting evidence. Skills like managing vents, CRRT, and balloon pumps are preferred but not required. About Cynet Health
