Plastic Blow Mold Technician (II)

Pay:

• 2nd Shift - $19.85/hr

Shift:

2nd 2:45 pm to 11:00 pm Monday- Friday

Job Summary:

As an Experienced Plastic Technician (Level 2) at Bissell, you will play a critical role in the plastics department, responsible for setting up and operating plastic injection molding machines, as well as performing maintenance and repair tasks to ensure optimal machine performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic blow molding machines, including loading and unloading molds, setting machine parameters, and monitoring production
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machines, replacing worn parts, and performing preventive maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot machine issues, identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with other technicians and production staff to achieve efficient and safe production operations
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
• Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
• Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and production data

Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• Understands blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Requires fluent use of English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in Plastic injection molding
• Previous Die Setting experience
• Previous Quality Control experience
• Basic math skills
