Electrical Harness Design Engineer - Combat Vehicles Troy, MI $40.70-$45.70/Hour Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance. Responsibilities: * Design electrical wiring harnesses, including selection of connectors, backshells, sleeving, braiding, sealants, boots, and transitions. * Define harness routing layout across vehicle platforms and multi-branch configurations. * Apply environmental requirements (temperature, shock, vibration, submergence, chemical exposure) into harness design. * Design using Capital Harness System (CHS) tools-Harness XC, Capital Logic, and Capital Topology. * Collaborate with CAD teams to: * Route harnesses in 3D CAD tools (Pro-E Creo and/or Siemens NX) * Develop electrical installation drawings, harness drawings, and wiring diagrams * Work with: * Systems engineers to define pin-level interconnects * Vehicle architects to determine routing paths and space claims Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) * Minimum 1 year of post-graduate experience in a relevant engineering field * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Experience with Capital Harness System (CHS) tools (Harness XC, Capital Logic, Capital Topology) preferred * Familiarity with Pro-E Creo and/or Siemens NX preferred * Ability to use engineering development and test tools * Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) * Previous experience with ground combat vehicles is a plus * Must be able to work occasional evening/weekend hours as needed Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.
