Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents per the plan of care, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and facility policies; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Monitor resident safety, respond to changes in condition, and document accurately to support ongoing care.
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants and other care staff; coordinate care activities with the nursing team and unit leadership.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, standards of care, and applicable accreditation requirements; ensure a safe and clean care environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team; participate in shift handoffs and care conferences as needed.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Licenses: Active Michigan LPN license
- Certifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of SNF/LTC or Med Surg experience
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination on file (medical or religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Additional: Ability to work night shifts and float to other units as needed; eligible for MI iCHAT background checks and scheduling of fingerprinting
