Job Overview

Sugarcane Galore is hiring for our busy summer event season!

We are a mobile beverage truck based in Plymouth, Michigan, serving fresh-pressed sugarcane juice, tropical lemonades, mocktails, zero-proof cocktails, and fresh coconuts at festivals, private events, markets, and large community events.

We are looking for friendly, reliable, upbeat team members to help with cashiering, taking orders, making drinks, restocking, and keeping our beverage station running smoothly during busy events.

This is a fun, fast-paced, seasonal position perfect for someone who enjoys customer service, working outdoors, and being part of a lively mobile food/beverage business. No experience is required, but we are looking for people who are dependable, quick on their feet, and comfortable working in a busy event environment.

Positions Available

Drink Maker / Beverage Truck Team Member
Starting at $15/hour , depending on experience, plus tip share

Cashier / Order Taker
Starting at $14/hour , plus tip share

Ideally, we are looking for team members who are open to being cross-trained and helping with both drink making and cashiering when needed.

Duties:

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, upbeat service.

Take beverage orders accurately and process card and cash payments.

Prepare fresh drinks, including sugarcane lemonades, mocktails, cold beverages, and specialty drinks, following our recipes and presentation standards.

Help keep the line moving efficiently during busy event rushes.

Restock cups, lids, straws, ice, fruit, garnishes, and other supplies as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage truck, cart, drink station, and prep areas.

Follow basic food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.

Assist with setup and tear down when needed.

Communicate clearly with the team during fast-paced events.

Represent Sugarcane Galore in a professional, friendly, and positive way.

Experience

No experience is required. We are happy to train the right person.

Previous experience in any of the following is a plus:

Cashiering
Food truck or festival work
Barista or café work
Bartending or mocktail making
Serving or restaurant work
Customer service
Food prep or beverage service
POS/card payment systems
Fast-paced retail or event environments

Ideal Candidate

Friendly, reliable, and comfortable talking to customers.

Able to work quickly while staying calm and organized.

Comfortable standing for long periods.

Comfortable working outdoors during summer events.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with busy lines.

Has reliable transportation to events.

Available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Willing to help with both cashiering and drink making when needed.

Dependable, communicative, and on time.

Minimum age preferred: 20+

Schedule

Seasonal position from May through October

Most events are on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

Events are located around Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Armada, Lansing, Plymouth, and surrounding areas

Start date: Immediate availability preferred

Pay

Cashier / Order Taker: Starting at $14/hour + tip share
Drink Maker / Beverage Truck Team Member: Starting at $15/hour, depending on experience + tip share

We specialize in fresh sugarcane juice pressed on site, tropical lemonades, mocktails, zero-proof cocktails, and fresh coconuts. We serve festivals, private events, markets, corporate events, and community gatherings across SE Michigan.
