Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $63,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices.
• Accurately document and log all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specifications.
• Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and logistics providers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area for efficiency and safety.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and barcode scanners.
• Ability to accurately count, inspect, and document incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with inventory management software beyond basic data entry
• Basic understanding of shipping regulations for hazardous materials
• Forklift certification
• Bilingual in Spanish
