Part-Time Cook — Assisted Living Community ($500 Sign-On Bonus!)

Location: Green Acres of Lowell — 11530 Fulton St, Lowell, MI
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
Schedule: Shifts vary between 6:30am–2:30pm and 11:00am–7:00pm , including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time Cook who has a passion for preparing delicious, home-style meals from scratch and enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for restaurant cooks who want to transition into a calmer, more rewarding setting while continuing to create high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals from scratch in batch quantities according to established menus and recipes
• Ensure food is prepared safely and presented attractively
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets all health and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to provide a positive dining experience for residents
• Adhere to scheduled meal times and kitchen procedures

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Prior cooking experience preferred, especially in batch or institutional settings
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Compassion and patience when working with the elderly
