Kalitta Charters II is seeking a knowledgeable, safety-focused Ground and Simulator Instructor to support our expanding Part 121 operation. In this role, you will help prepare pilots for success by delivering engaging classroom and simulator instruction, supporting consistent training standards, and contributing to continuous improvement across our B-737/757 training program.
Job Summary
The Ground and Simulator Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering initial, recurrent, and general training; preparing classrooms and simulator sessions; maintaining and improving training materials; evaluating and documenting student progress; and providing thoughtful recommendations to the Director of Training based on student performance and program needs.

Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, simulator, initial, recurrent, and general training in accordance with approved training standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, classrooms, and simulator sessions.
- Evaluate, document, and communicate student progress and performance.
- Recommend training improvements based on student feedback, performance trends, and operational needs.
- Maintain training materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.
- Model professionalism, safety-focused decision-making, and effective communication throughout the training process.

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- ATP certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 total flight hours.
- Ability and willingness to teach, coach, and support students with varying levels of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English sufficient to safely and effectively perform training responsibilities.
- Ability to listen actively, present information clearly, and support a professional learning environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, iPad, PC, and compatible training technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- B-737 and/or B-757 experience.
- 500 hours as a Certified Flight Instructor.
- Ground Instructor Certificate.
- Military instructor pilot, check airman, Part 121, Part 135, or Part 142 training experience.
- Flight Science, Flight Management, aviation, or related degree; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
